Residency curated by Jacopo Benassi & Saul Marcadent during the Master in Photography (IUAV - University of Venice) program.
Spettri is a two-weeks workshop held at Villa Manin, in Friuli Venezia-Giulia. At the crossroad between photography, sound and performance, 15 students of the Master in Photography gave a collective representation of the place known as the mansion of Venice’s last Doge.
My assignment during the workshop was to record sounds inside and outside the mansion and to photograph their sources.
All the media collected were used during the final performance by Jacopo Benassi.
The recordings were edited with an interview of Villa Manin’s former janitor and housekeeper about the paranormal experiences she had during her time working at the mansion.
